We would like to announce our winner in the 'Burlap' possibilities contest we just finished up.

 

Amy was our sixth entry in the contest AND our winner.  She entered the last day we were accepting pictures.  Isn't her pennant banner too fun!!

Burlap

Hey there!  With winter still creeping along, we thought it would be fun to have a little contest to keep things hopping.  With a grand prize worth up to...dollars...25 to be exact...good at the next fleaology in May.  What's not to love?

We were able to find a bolt of burlap at the last fleaology, and thought it would be fun to see what everyone has been doing with this trendy-as-late material.  For this contest we want you to make and share your own burlap projects.  You may send us a link to your own blog or just email us a pic at patula10@aol.com   All entries are due by midnight, friday March 29.  Winner will be randomly drawn from all the projects entered.

To start it off, I made a drawstring bag from burlap following this tutorial I found on Pinterest.  Yay burlap!    

Flea-fix

Thanks to everyone who braved the cold to come out to our January edition of Flea-o-logy!  We had a blast hanging out at Olson's Garden Shoppe for the day, and hope you did too.  

 The isles of treasures went on and on.  It was hard to know where to start first.

 

 The vintage Calculator made my heart thump.  I may need it around just incase the one on my iphone quits, right?

Well, this last sale was just the "flea-fix" we needed to get us through this bone-chilling winter.  Hope it did the same for you!  Thanks again for all who shopped and the dealers who brought their treasures to share.  We couldn't do it without you!

While setting up earlier on Friday we found that Olson's Garden Shoppe was warm, balmy and spelled like flowers ...  be sure to come down and check out the vintage goodness which has been put together for all of you by 33 dealers (Sorry, we lost one with sick kids and another to an emergency.)  Still thousands and thousands of square feet of wonderful collectibles, crafts, antiques and vintage treasures.  See You Soon!

Junking is for the Birds (and smart people too!)

Well flea.o.logy friends .... just wanted to stop by and wish you all a Happy National Bird Day!!  How many of you knew that Benjamin Franklin wanted the National Bird of the USA to be the Turkey? Of course you did, junkers are typically much smarter than average.

 

Well, maybe you can all do a little bird watching to keep you busy until our flea.o.logy sale at Olson's Garden Shoppe on the 19th!!

 

And in case you would like to update your calendar for the year we have three additional dates when we will be selling outside at the flea.o.logy house.

Now that all the fun of the Christmas season is behind us ... I am starting to feel a bit of longing for those good old junking days of summer!!

Fortunately none of us have to wait for sunny days to get in some junking fun!!  Round up your girl friends, or your brothers or your wife or cousins ... just make plans to come down to Olson's Garden Shoppe on January 19th from 10:00 A.M. until 4:00 P.M.  at 1190 West 400 North, Payson.  We are just 40 minutes south of Sandy, and the freeway is all construction free!! We have 25 dealers who are all gathering up the goodies just for you!!

 

 

Yep, you can reject a snowy reality that keeps you from going to yard sales and flea markets, because in this alternate reality, you get to go to one of your favorite flea markets  in January, come snow or shine!!
