Flea.o.logy One Week Delay Due to Weather

Its a sad day when we have to let you all know that it will be another week before we get to enjoy a Saturday out searching for treasures at our flea.o.ogy sale in Payson.

We appreciate all of you who had still planned to come despite the predictions of cold weather.  We, as vendors, were willing to brave the cold, but the increasing chances of rain and snow have made us realize that we need to postpone.

Next Saturday is supposed to be in the high 60's, and we are hoping for a beautiful day !!

The bright side of the situation (beside getting sun on May 7th) is that all of our vendors will have extra time to get more goodies ready for you!!

Thank you for your understanding!

A Flea Market is just her CUP of tea!! Patty!

Patty has been a part of our flea market from the very beginning in May of 2005.  She is a ceramic artist and has made night lights from cups and saucers, as well making some into charming wall pockets.

Patty is also an antique dealer at the Treasures North building.  Here is a wonderful old pipe that she picked up while visiting her folks back east.  It is for sale in her booth at the antique mall if you are looking for a really unique item for a father's day gift.

You can also find out more about Treasures Antiques in Springville by clicking on the blog link for the store to your right.  You will learn details about our wonderful  double huge store and the 50 dealers who keep it stocked full of treasures!!
Here are some other items available in Patty's booth at the antique mall.  You can see that she favors glass and ceramic items.

But we are always surprised to see the fun and functional stuff that Patty brings to our sales.

Don't miss the chance to come and meet Patty and see  what cool stuff she has to share!!

Believe it or not, flea.o.logy is tomorrow, so come early and come often to find the best deals around!! You will be glad you did.

Another Dealer from the Antique Mall!! Nikki!

Today, I would like to introduce you to an energetic dealer that I work with at Treasure's Antique Mall who will be one of the vendors at flea.o.logy this week.  Nikki has a romantic side and a playful side.   These pictures were taken of her booth at Treasures Antiques, so if you see something special you will know where to find it!

This charming sirocco mirror has had wonderful pastel highlights added which would make it perfect for a romantic/casual style room.

And cottage decor always welcomes labeled kitchen pottery, how charming is this set, with the matching pepper and salt shakers.

Nikki is attracted to, and will share with you, items in a soft pallet.  These wonderful reproduction depression glass dishes are surprisingly affordable, and who doesn't love aqua!!

More happy colors here!  I love the tall chartreuse sugar bowl!  Nikki will have lots of wonderful things at the sale this Saturday (April 30th at 8:00 A.M.) Her pricing is friendly and the variety she will have to share with you will amaze you!!

And if we are very lucky, Nikki might even bring a few of her collectible toys.  Whatever she brings, you will be sure to find some wonderful items to add to your collection.

We will see you Saturday at 218 N. Main in Payson, which is about 40 minutes south of Sandy!  Come and see us all, we promise that you will not regret it.  Thanks for coming along to meet Nikki!

Judy's Miles and Miles of Collectibles ....

Yep, I may be actually exaggerating here, but just a bit.  Judy is our amazing picker!  She certainly has a knack for finding and gathering antique and vintage treasures.  She has enough tables to hold a banquet for a small town, and the storage space available to gather all kinds of fun and funky stuff.  She often has rusty, rustic and farm goods too. She keeps at it year round, and you will be amazed to see what she can amass over the winter months!!
These pictures are from a previous year's flea market, but virtually all you see in both of them was gathered, cleaned, repaired and shared by our good friend Judy.  We love it.  Judy's supportive husband James hauls in pickup load after pick up load the night before our sales, and the two of them are often still setting up six hours later.

Set up times at our sales is a blast.  Imagine, as our extended logo expresses, like minded lovers of all things pre-loved, gathered together sharing. We visit back and forth and compare our great finds.  Neighbors sometimes drop by to say hi, and to sneak a peek over the fence, only to be reminded that we don't sell until 8:00 A.M. as we want each and every one of our valued customers to have a chance at first pick.

Its pretty much impossible to distinguish items in these pictures, but believe me, by the end of our sales, there are a lot of emptied tables, and fun vintage items and collectibles that have found a new home.

Come see us on April 30th at 8:00 A.M. for the flea.o.logy flea market.  We are congregating at 218 N. Main in Payson.  A quick 40 minute drive from Sandy, and worth the travel time.  Come once, and you will definitely want to add our other dates to your calendar! (Saturday July 16th and September 2nd and 3rd, for our first 2 day sale during Payson's Onion's day celebration on Labor Day weekend.  That way you can stop by and find treasures on your way to the carnival at the park a half mile further up Main Street!!)

Jewelry, Jewelry Everywhere ... Thanks to Garna!

Garna is a junque jewelry dealer and proud of it.  She has hundreds and hundreds of jewelry items.  Garna did our flea market last year a couple of times, and our customers LOVED her.  She has lots of necklaces and bracelets in the $1 category.  She is also a dealer at the antique mall where I work, and sometimes if I can't find jewelry that goes with my outfit for the day, I stop by her booth to find something that works!  She is a great resource.  Most of the items she sells are wearable.

However, she also sells the crafter's dream.  She has junque bags that are very affordable, often including broken necklaces, orphan earrings, charms, chains, beads, broaches that are missing a single rhinestone or bracelets with broken clasps.  Great stuff, and CHEAP!!  We have a lot of crafters that swamp her table at our sales, and you may become one of them, and she has plenty for all.  Be sure to stop by and see!!

Besides the great and inexpensive jewelry that Garna sells, we will also have several crafters who make fun, sparkly, elegant, crafty and funky jewelry at our sale.  So basically if you love jewelry, and the more unusual the better, then you will likely find a treasure at the flea.o.logy flea market in Payson on April 30th!!

We will look forward to seeing your there!!

Our First Flea.o.logy Sale of the Year is in less than 2 Weeks!!

Just 12 days if you don't count today.  I for one am very, very excited.   I have been busy, busy, busy ... let me share some of the items that got new paint yesterday.

This is a set of mid-century modern chests.  They are probably English, but definitely European.  I bought them ten years ago from a dealer who brings in containers from Europe.  I prefer the European approach to mid-century, and find these charming.

They have actually been a part of my household these past many years, but now they are ready to come and live at your house!  They would be perfect for a child or baby's room.

Here is a bit of detail of the styling of the dresser.  The horizontal line design on the top drawer matches that of the top drawer of the tall chest.
Here we see the top drawer of the tall chest with its horizontal design.  The handles are replacements and are cast iron flowers.

This fun chest is made from reclaimed wood, probably during the depression.  I never cease to be amazed at the evidence of the creative abilities individuals found in themselves when times were tough.

I will never forget the cupboard I found at a garage sale that had been framed from 1 by 2's and then the panels were filled in by a dense cardboard.  Well, I guess it filled the need of the times, and was a great testimonial to the creativity of people in a tight place.

This is the interior of the chest.  I think it is possible that it was originally an egg box, that had extra slats added to enclose it.  What ever it is, it is sturdy, clean and has a lot of practical function left for its new owner.
This is an old record cabinet, perfect for anyone seeking a bit of extra space for storage.  A great hidy hole for stacks and stacks of diapers and other baby supplies.  Or add it to your kitchen as a mini pantry!  Everyone needs storage space, right?

This is actually an English, or at least European cabinet.  I am not sure of its original function, but it is charming with its replaced crystal knob and would make a great night stand or side table.

All of these items will be for sale at our first fleo.o.logy sale and are surprisingly affordable.  The sale is on Saturday, April 30th.  We have 13 vendors signed on, with all kinds of antiques and collectibles.  There will be home made goodies for sale, as well as fun crafts that would make fabulous (Mom will never forget you took the time to find this for her) Mother's day gifts.  We open at 8:00 A.M. sharp at 218 N. Main Street in Payson.  Definitely worth the drive to spend a charming day 'junquing' in the shady yard of a historic home.
