January 19th Flea.o.logy at Olson's Garden Shoppe!

Now that all the fun of the Christmas season is behind us ... I am starting to feel a bit of longing for those good old junking days of summer!!

Fortunately none of us have to wait for sunny days to get in some junking fun!!  Round up your girl friends, or your brothers or your wife or cousins ... just make plans to come down to Olson's Garden Shoppe on January 19th from 10:00 A.M. until 4:00 P.M.  at 1190 West 400 North, Payson.  We are just 40 minutes south of Sandy, and the freeway is all construction free!! We have 25 dealers who are all gathering up the goodies just for you!!

Yep, you can reject a snowy reality that keeps you from going to yard sales and flea markets, because in this alternate reality, you get to go to one of your favorite flea markets  in January, come snow or shine!!

All of these pictures are from our flea.o.logy sale at Olson's last year ... help us spread the word!! The more the merrier!

Many Fleaologists Sell At Treasures' Open House This Saturday

So you have been missing flea.o.logy ... me too!!  But the next best thing may just be a good discount at Treasures Antique Mall in Springville where about a quarter of our flea.o.logy dealers sell, when they aren't busy dodging raindrops at flea.o.logy!!

The dealers at Treasures will be discounting their booths from 10% to 50%, with most dealers being right around 25%.  There will also be punch and cookies.  Come on in and feel the Holiday Spirit, while supporting a local small business.

These pictures are from my booth. The great vintage Santas are always fun. We had a 20 something gal come in to the store yesterday and she bought 2 old Santas ... she said she displays them in an open suitcase ... which is one of my favorite ways to display them.

The two Treasures Antique Mall buildings are each 11,000 square feet, and have about 70 dealers between them.  They are located on the west frontage road between the two Springville exits ... super easy to find.  If you haven't been to Treasures, you should definitely stop by for our Christmas Open house.  Happy Hunting!

The flea.o.logy that nearly floated away. . .

This, I'm afraid, was the scene during set-up at flea.o.logy on Friday.

And this, I'm afraid, was the scene during the sale most of the day on Saturday.

And this, thank goodness, was the scene at 7:55 a.m. Saturday,
just before we opened the gates to let the shoppers in
to descend upon the vintage goodness.

It rained off and on, but we had a fantastic crowd all day.

Thank you for coming!

And we are so sorry that we missed some of you who
figured that we had cancelled because of the weather.

Check back later this week for lots of photos of the event. . .

and look forward to our
next sale ~

ONE MORE DAY to go!

is the loneliest number,
so they say.

They must not have come to flea.o.logy.

Had they done that, they definitely wouldn't have been lonely.
Not by a long shot.

In fact, be prepared to rub shoulders with a
few scores of your fellow flea-market-loving
"new friends" when you come on Saturday. . .

Hmmm. . . just

more day.

Have you made your shopping list yet?

Or are you just going to see what
strikes your fancy when you get here?

(That's what I do.
I spend more money that way,
b u t    t h a t ' s   o k a y .
I come home with
m o r e   t r e a s u r e s
that way.
And more
  h a p p i n e s s ! )

Woo hoo!

Just one day.

24 hours.

1440 minutes.

1 school day.

3 meals.

17 times letting the dogs out and back in.

1 sleep.

1 drive to Payson.

Oodles of excitement.

See you there!

A few of my favorite things. . .

With just two days left until the big flea. . .
I'm simply going to show you
two of my favorite things
I'm bringing on Saturday.

(Shhh. . . don't tell,
but I'm so busy
getting everything
ready that I
don't have time
to do anything
else.)

Item #1

My new nail bin. . . recently picked up in Idaho.
It's a display piece, but what's exciting is what's in it. . .
loads of interesting "littles" for crafty people
to use in their own creations.

Have fun exploring in it!

Item #2

Ha ha. . . just kidding!
These are two of my favorite things,
and I am bringing my daughter,
but we're leaving QT home.
So sad, she is pretty friendly.

Real Item #2

Old-fashioned, steampunk-style lightbulbs.
Make a statement when you decorate with these babies.
Get'em early, I've only got a few. . .

The 3 Musketeers. . . quiz alert!

. . . er, make that "The 3 flea.o.logists"

And the answers are. . .

. . . since, after all, it is just

days until the big event!

In honor of the "big flea" being 3 days away,
we've come up with a little quiz for you.

This time, we're going to see
how well you know your flea.o.logists.

To get you started, look at the top photo.
We are, left to right,
Paula, Cathie & Jenn.
You'll need our names for the quiz,
even if all you do is guess.

When you are finished,
email your answers to me @
mjscox@burgoyne.com

Now, here's the fun part
(and you thought the quiz was the fun part!)

The person with the
most correct answers
wins a

$10 flea.o.logy Shopping Certificate!

     wowsa. . . .

Here goes. . .
and good luck!

Part 1

In the following items, each group of three has all three of us represented.  You decide which of us in each group of three goes with the choices given to you.  For instance, if the category for letter "M" was "favorite pizza," and the choices were 1. Hawaiian, 2. All veggie, all the time, and 3. Anything but fish - you would email me the following response:

M1: Cathie
M2: Jenn
M3: Paula
And you would be absolutely correct!!

Begin.

A.  Favorite ice cream:
  1. Anything with caramel in it - Paula
  2. Chocolate- Cathie
  3. Coffee - Jenn

Pencils down.

Part 2

In the following items, identify if it's Paula, Jenn or Cathie. . . .

Look at the items below and assign each one a flea.o.logist.  For instance, if the item was:
A.  "I lived in South Africa."  You would write "Cathie" for letter "A" in the email you'd be sending back to me.  And you'd be correct!!

Begin.

1.  My nickname is Sparkle. - Paula

2.  When I was in college, my roommates and I dressed up as Batman and Robin and went to the local grocery store to see the real Robin.  He wasn't amused. - Cathie

Two "Top 4" lists - or - The fantastic people who come to flea.o.logy!

With only

days left until flea.o.logy,

I'm exhausted from thinking up clever things to post.

So, I'm going to give you another "Top Ten" list,

(which is really a "Top Eight" list,

which is the same as two "Top Four" lists,

so it really does fit into today's 4-days-left-until-the-sale-category)

with HUGE thanks to my dear friend & fellow dealer Ann,

who sent this to me a few days ago.
